Friendship circle welcomes teens looking for community service to sensitivity training to become a volunteer and work with children with special needs.
Earn one hour of community service for each class.

Thursdays, March 5, 12, 19, April 2, 16, 23, 30 (no class 4/9), 6:30 - 7:30 pm
Create community service crafts to donate to charity organizations. 
Earn one hour of community service for each class. 

Project Excel's Why Try? DXY308
Wednesdays, March 4,11,18,25, April 1,15, 22, 29 (no class 4/9), 5:45 - 6:45 pm
This weekly interactive training program encourages students to stay focused on the future and build healthy positive relationships -- it answers the question "why try in life?" Earn one hour of community service for each class.

Make a comfy bed for a dog in need.

Teen Reading Blog Orientation DXY307
Thursday, March 12 6-6:30 PM
Read new books for our teen blog and receive four hours of community service for each review. New members must attend this brief orientation to participate. 
*No community service will be given for attending the orientation meeting*

Cards for Hospitalized Kids - Drop-in DXY337
Tuesday, April 14, 2:30 - 5pm
This charitable organization spreads joy to hospitalized kids through cards. create a unique card to be shared with a special kid for 1 hour of community service.

Author's Unlimited 4 
Saturday, April 25 (St. Joseph's College - Patchogue, NY)
Please join us as we celebrate reading by connecting teens ans authors.  This is a free full day program open to everyone, but teens and tweens get preferred seating! Attendees will get a chance to meet dynamic authors of young adult literature first at an author panel and then in smaller breakout sessions afterward. a certificate for community service hours will be given to those who attend the event. Books will be available for purchase with time for autographs at the end of the day.
