Seedfolks, by Paul Fleischman
Seedfolks, by Paul Fleischman, is definitely a book I would read again. The book is about a Vietnamese girl, trying to plant some beans to make her deceased father proud.
The neighborhood starts to take notice and soon, everybody is getting involved. Then the winter comes and nobody knows what will happen to the garden. To find out you must read the book! The book shows a community coming together to make a garden grow in one of the worst environments. Every person mentioned in the book has an impact on the garden. The garden in return, has an impact on them. The book illustrates how one person can make a difference in so many peoples lives.
I liked the book because it gave me a real idea of people coming together. It was very entertaining to read! This book is unlike any other! I got so caught up in the characters and their lives! The way the author described our society and the setting of it all was marvelous. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes a plot twist or someone who just wants to relax and read!
