Vortex, by Julie Cross

Vortex by Julie Cross. Julie Cross, the author of many different novels, incorporates a variety of different literary techniques in order to establish a suspenseful, strong tone throughout the course of the story. In this novel, main character and protagonist Jackson Meyer gets prepared to take on the challenges of being a time traveler, which he discovered in book 1 of the "Tempest" series.

Here in book 2, Jackson begins to hone his skills and prepare for the final battle which may result in a drastic change for all humans on Earth. Facing a strong opponent in the EOTs, or evil time travelers, Jackson knows that the chances are slim and the reward is large, yet does he have the capability to destroy the evil forces who are trying to change the world as we know it?

I would count this novel as one of the most intriguing, fascinating, and most suspenseful books I have ever had the pleasure to read. I also like this book because of the sci-fi theme and genre, which would earn the attention of any young and avid mystery-lover. I would recommend this novel and series to anyone who feels up to an exciting read, where you can truly lose yourself for hours at a time. This book  has earned itself a spot as one of the best and most thrilling stories I have ever read, and maybe it will be your's to!
