Hourglass by Myra McEntire

Emerson Knows she is different than everyone else her own age. She sees people from the past that disappear when touched, and these "ripples" are becoming more and more complex. Emerson is a high school student that lives with her brother and his wife because her parents died. She has gone to all sorts of people about her special gift and she has been on so many drugs at the same time she couldn't enjoy life so she flushes the prescription drugs and deals with the "ripples". Her brother Thomas tries to find people to help her and this time the guy he finds is actually worth trying. Sam, Thomas's contact, Can see the ripples too.He works for a company called the Hourglass which seeks out people with abilities like theirs. Sam teaches Emerson all about her abilities and tells her she can even travel in time. Emerson meets Sam's friends and finds out they all have special abilities, but the Hourglass is not as good as Emerson thought. Meanwhile a strange man who isn't quite a ripple is visiting Emerson. He doesn't disappear when Emerson touches him. What exactly does this mean?

I would recommend Hourglass because it is very interesting and it leaves you wanting more. It has you on the edge of your seat because of all of the plot twists. I think it was really good.
