The House of Dead Maids by Clare B. Dunkle

The House of Dead Maids is about a young orphan girl who is hired by a very strange household to be nursemaid to a little boy. The boy, who has no name, is the “master” of the huge mansion that is haunted by the maids and masters that have come before them. As the story unfolds, the girl senses that they are both in danger in that dark, ominous, very creepy, and swarming with ghosts house. She will need all her courage and wits to save them both!

I liked this book because it was fast paced and “edge-of-your seat” reading. I could not put it down until I knew what happened in the end. The storyline was quite thrilling and I never got bored. The novel started and ended in action.
