Epitaph Road by David Patneaude

I read the book Epitaph Road by David Patneaude. This book is about a boy who is living in a world of girls. Years ago, a disease called Elisha's Bear killed almost all of the wolrd's population of men. Only the women had survived. Now, Kellen is stuck living in a place where women rule the world. When rumors of another Elisha's Bear coming, Kellen packs up and heads out to find his dad, who is a loner living in a place called Afterlight. He heads out with his friends Tia and Sunday to warn his dad. Along the way, he discovers some shocking things about the president of the United States, Rebecca Mack. He learns that Elisha's bear was manmade, or woman made rather. When Kellen comes across a lab in the middle of a forest, he learns that there is an Elisha's Bear being created for females, and that he has to stop it. I would recommend this book to anyone in seventh or eighth grade. It is a little challenging to follow for less advanced readers, but is very action packed.
